Frequently asked questions

What is Vdopa: The 333 Rooms?

A point-and-click puzzle game set in a mysterious mansion with 333 rooms. Each room holds 10 puzzles, 3,330 in total. Every puzzle hides a secret code; you use different mechanisms to reveal it, then enter it to open the next door.

Is it free?

Yes, completely. You never pay to unlock puzzles. The website earns money from ads on content pages only, and you will never see an ad while solving a puzzle.

Which devices can I play on?

Any modern browser on computers, tablets and phones (latest Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari). Nothing to install. Android and iOS apps are planned.

Do I need an account to play?

No. Press "Play now as a guest" to start right away; your stars and cleared levels are saved for that browser. When you are ready, sign up or connect a social account on the "My account" screen and all your progress comes with you. An account lets you continue on any device, keeps your progress safe when you clear your browser, and is required for Vdopa Rush.

How can I sign up?

With your email right away, or with Google, LINE, Facebook or Apple. You can link several sign-in methods to one account on the "My account" screen.

How old do I need to be?

At least 13. Players under 20 get stricter privacy defaults, for example no personalised advertising.

Is there a timer?

Single-player has no timer that makes you lose; take as long as you need. Solving faster than the target time without the magnifier earns 3 stars.

How do stars work?

Solving a puzzle earns 1 star, solving it without the magnifier earns 2, and solving it without the magnifier faster than the target time earns 3. Replay any puzzle to improve; your best result is kept.

What is the magnifier?

A one-use helper per puzzle. Depending on the puzzle it highlights the key spot of the mechanism or fills in the first letter of the code. Using it limits that puzzle to 1 star.

I am stuck on a hard puzzle. What should I do?

Read the guide for that mechanism on the "Puzzle guide" page, which covers techniques and common mistakes. Still stuck? Use the magnifier, or take a short break; many puzzles become easier from a fresh angle.

Do puzzles repeat?

No. Every puzzle is generated and checked automatically so difficulty rises step by step, codes are unique across all 3,330 puzzles, and every room uses at least four different main mechanisms.

My progress was not saved. Why?

Check that you are logged into the same account. If your connection drops while playing, results are kept on your device and uploaded once you are back online. If it persists, write to us on the contact page.

What is Vdopa Rush, and can I play it yet?

A competitive mode where 2–8 players solve the same puzzle at the same time; the fastest solver wins that round and earns 10 coins. It is playable now from the ⚡ Vdopa Rush button on the game home screen (verified email required). Matches have text chat; camera and voice are still in development.

What are coins for? Can I buy them?

Coins are earned only by winning Vdopa Rush rounds and will be exchangeable for rewards in the future. They cannot be bought, transferred or cashed out.

I forgot my password.

Tap "Forgot password?" on the login screen and enter your email. We will send a reset link that works for 1 hour.

Can I delete my account?

Yes: open "My account" and choose "Delete account". It is erased after 30 days; log in within that time to cancel. You can also download your data from the same screen.

What data does the game collect?

Only what is needed, such as your email, display name, date of birth and game progress. The privacy policy has all the details.
