Vdopa Rush, the competitive puzzle mode

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Status: Vdopa Rush is playable now: press ⚡ Vdopa Rush on the home screen of the game (log in and verify your email first). Matches have text chat; camera and voice are still in development.

Vdopa Rush turns quiet solo puzzling into a race. Two to eight players join one room, everyone sees the same puzzle at the same moment, and the first to reveal and enter the code wins.

Starting a match

  • Create a Rush room: name it, choose how many puzzles (1–10) and the difficulty, and set the time per puzzle anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. Share the 6-digit room code or an invite link.
  • Quick Rush: one button matches you with 2–4 players of similar skill.
  • The host decides whether the room is public or private and whether chat and the magnifier are allowed, and can kick players, hand over the host role or close the room.
  • Lost your connection mid-match? Your seat is kept for 60 seconds and you are taken back into the same round automatically.

Rules for each puzzle

  1. When everyone is ready, a 3-2-1 countdown starts the first puzzle for all players.
  2. Time is measured by the server clock, so everyone gets the same time whatever their connection.
  3. Answers are checked on the server; nobody can see the code in advance.
  4. The first correct code wins the round. If time runs out and nobody solves it, the round has no winner.
  5. After each round a scoreboard shows who solved it and how fast.

Scoring

Event Points
Correct answer 1,000 × (time left ÷ total time)
1st / 2nd / 3rd to solve bonus +300 / +200 / +100
Magnifier used −30% of that round’s points
Not solved 0

The winner is decided by the total score across all rounds. Final rankings and the match history are saved.

Coins

The winner of each round earns 10 coins, saved for future rewards. To keep things fair:

  • Coins come only from matches. They cannot be bought and are not earned by watching ads.
  • They cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
  • Coins are only awarded in rooms with at least two real, email-verified accounts.
  • Cheating is detected, for example accounts that repeatedly play each other or impossibly fast answers.

Camera and voice (in development)

Once available, you will be able to turn on your camera and talk to opponents in every round. Video and audio are streamed live only and never recorded. You can switch your own camera or microphone off at any time, mute or hide other players on your side, and block or report anyone instantly. Players under 20 will have camera and microphone off by default.

For now, players under 20 can only join private rooms with a code a friend shares (not Quick Rush or public rooms).

Tips

Practise in single-player first: every Rush puzzle uses the same mechanisms as the mansion, so players who know all seven have a real advantage. Every Rush puzzle is freshly made, so remembered answers from single-player will not help. Verify your email, because Vdopa Rush requires a verified account.
