Your data, your control: download, edit and delete your account
Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) gives you several rights over your data, but with many services using them means emailing someone and waiting for days. In Vdopa we try to let you do the important things yourself, instantly, inside the game. Here is a short summary.
What we keep (and what we do not)
We keep only what the game needs: your email, display name, date of birth, game progress, and technical details for security such as the devices you log in from. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes; not even our team can see them.
What we do not keep: camera and microphone streams in competitive mode, which go live between players only.
Why we ask for your date of birth
Thai law treats people under 20 as minors. We use your date of birth to check that you are at least 13 and to give younger players stricter privacy defaults, such as cameras off by default in competitive mode and no marketing email. It can only be set once, so the rules cannot be dodged by changing it.
What you can do yourself in the game
Open “My account” from the round button at the top-left of the home screen. There you can:
- Download my data: one file with your account, sign-in methods, consent history, progress on every puzzle and session history.
- Change your display name instantly.
- Link or unlink Google and LINE sign-in (at least one method always remains, so you never lock yourself out).
- Log out everywhere if you think someone else is using your account.
- Delete your account.
How deletion works
After you confirm deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period and is logged out on every device. Change your mind? Just log in again within 30 days and everything comes back, progress included.
After 30 days, personal data such as your email, name, date of birth and progress is removed automatically. We keep only what the law requires, in a non-identifying form.
Other rights
For other PDPA rights, such as objecting to processing, or any question about your data, email [email protected]; we reply within 30 days. All the details are in the privacy policy.
